The PelvicToner was first introduced into the UK in 2000 and tens of thousands of women have benefited because of the way it helps isolate the correct muscle and focuses your effort so that you can exercise correctly against resistance.

Health professionals and relationship therapists regularly recommend the PelvicToner as a way to improve pelvic floor muscle tone, bladder control, sexual feeling and the female orgasm!

Bristol Urological Institute, one of the UK’s leading research centres in the field of urodynamics, is currently undertaking undertaking a large scale clinical trial with the PelvicToner.  Paul Abrams, Professor of Urology at the Bristol Urological Institute said:

"It is 60 years since Arnold Kegel proposed pelvic floor exercises as a treatment for stress incontinence but a simple, effective method of putting all his principles into practice has eluded us. The PelvicToner seems to meet all the requirements that Kegel envisaged - it is a simple, patient-friendly, progressive resistance exercise device and provides feedback to the patient that the correct muscles are being engaged. Our specialists are undertaking a full-scale randomised clinical trial and are hoping that the results will confirm our optimism for the PelvicToner".

The PelvicToner has been featured many times by Dr Chris Steele on This Morning TV, by Janey Lee Grace on The Wright Stuff (click here to view!) and in several  Times Body & Soul articles eg 10 July 2004, 7 May 2005 and 24 June 2006 and in many magazines including Good Housekeeping and Woman's Own. There is a more complete list of publications and testimonials at the foot of this page.

In 1948 Arnold Kegel first described pelvic floor exercises as a treatment option for patients suffering from stress incontinence (SI). Pelvic floor muscle exercises (pfme) are still the basic treatment for SI and can achieve cure or improvement in over 80% of cases. The problem is that even health professionals admit that pfme are often poorly taught, rarely practiced correctly and never continued daily for the recommended three to six months! No other muscle is exercised by squeezing against thin air so it is not surprising that the results of classic pfme are slow in coming and that after a few days or weeks most women give up.

Well-toned pelvic floor muscles can also dramatically improve your sex life!.
In 1952 Kegel published research confirming that squeezing against a resistance is essential for a satisfactory sex life. The biggest crime of the last century is that this information has never been publicised depriving women of much improved sex lives and a real incentive to exercise effectively.

“Observations in [more than 3,000 women,] both parous (child-bearing) and nulliparous (non-child-bearing)..., ranging in age from 16 to 74 years, have led to the conclusion that sexual feeling within the vagina is closely related to muscle tone, and can be improved through muscle education and resistive exercise."
“78 of 123 women complaining explicitly of sexual deficits achieved orgasm following the training”.

Arnold H. Kegel "Sexual Functions of the Pubococcygeus Muscle "Western Journal of Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, 60, pp. 521-524, 1952

Exponents of Tantra and tantric sex certainly know that effective pelvic floor muscle exercises are essential to maximise vaginal and penile control and to improve vaginal sensation. Read what Eileen Inge Hertzberg says in her work "In search of ecstasy".

Many women worry that their vagina is too big or slack, tightening up the pelvic floor muscles, especially after childbirth, improves the 'vaginal embrace' and gives greater sensation to both you and your partner. Any exercise helps develop muscle and improve the blood flow to the area - and when you do that in the pelvic floor muscles the results can be dramatic. Clinical trials have demonstrated that working on this muscle group can be particularly beneficial in the treatment of sexual dysfunction - it increases sensation, helps improve libido and leads to greater and more frequent orgasms. If you are not convinced visit this website!

Yes! It works!
In an ongoing survey of over 5000 PelvicToner users with stress incontinence, over 87% of those responding said that their symptoms of embarrassing leaks on coughing or performing even minor exercise or movements had 'improved' or 'much improved' after just one month. Over 30% reported an improvement after just one week.

Half of respondents also said that the PelvicToner had improved their vaginal embrace - and half also said that their partners had noticed the improvement! Indeed, 80% of respondents noticed an improvement in their sex life within 4 weeks.

The PelvicToner works - and if you work at it you will soon feel the benefits. Here are two great stories:

"Good morning, I just wanted to give you a bit of feedback on my PelvicToner which arrived this week. What a super product. I've used it twice a day (180 reps on the strong set of springs I ordered) and can already feel more awareness of the pelvic floor muscles. It's like they've woken up since using them with the PelvicToner which requires concentration and the correct use of the muscles - which is actually visible. I've had disturbed bladder nerve sensation since a very serious attack of Pelvic Inflammatory Disease in January which also left me with an almost complete inability to achieve orgasm. I've made great strides in both departments this week alone!!

I'm so optimistic that I've discovered a method of helping myself without (further) hospital intervention and all the associated emotional trauma. I've always assumed my pelvic floor would be strong as my babies weren't delivered naturally, but until I used the PelvicToner, I didn't realise quite how much more supported my 'gynae bits' should feel.

Interestingly, since I've become aware of the pelvic floor muscles using the PelvicToner, I've found that I can now tighten them (albeit in a less controlled way) as I go about my daily routine as and when I remember, and in doing so, seem to be becoming increasingly 'tuned in' to the sexy sensations that produces...much to my boyfriend's delight! Ha ha! Thank you!" AC, Norfolk

Five years ago at the age of 37 I had a hysterectomy and vaginal repair due to a severe uterine prolapse and a cystocele (bladder prolapsing into the vagina).

All was well for four and half years and then I started to experience a familiar feeling of dragging into the vagina. I visited my gynaecologist who confirmed that the top of the vagina was once again descending into the lower part of the vagina and sooner or later I would need further surgery.

I am a busy mum of four boys and have a part time job, there was no way I could afford the time of work and the family. I was feeling very despondent. I came across an article in the February edition of Good Housekeeping about the PelvicToner and femetone. I went onto the websites of each. I decided to try the pelvic toner as it was affordable and seemed the better option.

I have been using my pelvic toner for four weeks now and already there had been a noticeable difference. I can go for long walks, and do not feel any dragging in the vagina, I have also noticed that I don’t need to visit the toilet so often. At a recent visit to the doctors, it was confirmed there was an improvement.

The Pelvic Toner is simple to use, you just need 15 minutes a day to achieve incredible results. I believe that if I continue to exercise my pelvic floor muscles with the pelvic toner, surgery will not be necessary and that I will also prevent any future bladder problems. HW, age 43. 5 March 2007
